R14 Tourney: Blinn wins women's bracket, Trinity Valley men defeat Lee; Conference Superlatives Named
The annual NJCAA Region 14 Basketball Tournament, held March 12-16 at Tyler Junior College's Wagstaff Gymnasium, once again crowned a men's and women's champion -- both of whom earn automatic bids to the NJCAA's national playoffs.
REGION XIV WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP:
On the women's side, Blinn College defeated Trinity Valley, 84-70. READ GAME STORY
The Lady Buccaneers, (24-9) with the R14 championship under their belt, have qualified as an automatic bid to the NJCAA Tournament in Casper, Wyoming.
In addition to Blinn, Trinity Valley received an at-large bid to play in the national tournament.
The 24-team NJCAA championship tournament is set for March 26 to April 1 at the Ford Wyoming Center.
REGION XIV MEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP:
For the men, Trinity Valley (26-7) upset No. 1 seed Lee College, 87-72. READ GAME STORY
TVCC gets an automatic bid to the 2024 NJCAA DI Men's Basketball Championship in Hutchinson, Kan., set for March 24-30 in the Hutchinson Sports Arena.
In addition to TVCC, Lee College and Panola College received at-large bids to play in the tournament.

CONFERENCE ALL-REGION TEAMS:
Region XIV Conference Superlatives are selected annually to recognize outstanding players from R14 schools in the North and South divisions.
Players are selected for either 1st Team, 2nd Team or Honorable Mention.
